Mission Statement
SANDS (Qld) Inc. provides mutual support, information, education and advocacy for parents and their families who experience the death of their baby to miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death and other reproductive losses.
Memorial Services
Hospital & Community Groups Memorial Services
Memorial services are considered to be occasions when bereaved parents can gather to celebrate the lives of their babies. The services can be particularly appropriate if parents were not able to hold a funeral or memorial service for their baby.
Memorial services are held in Brisbane and across Queensland at various times of the year.
October 15th
International
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day
Various activities are held including
a Candle lighting ceremony and a Walk to Remember.
Christmas
A Christmas service is held in Brisbane along with other centres holding similar services.

memorial services in memory of
all babies born before 20 weeks
gestation. Parents, families, friends and staff
are welcome to these
